About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to drive enterprise Quality Engineering transformation at BNY. This strategic role serves as a key partner, leading initiatives to enhance testing discipline, test data strategy, automation maturity, and overall engineering quality. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical credibility combined with strong program leadership expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Engineering Transformation: Lead enterprise-wide initiatives to mature testing strategy, automation frameworks, and quality governance across complex systems.
- Test Data Management & Virtualization: Drive synthetic data strategy, artificial dataset creation, and response simulation to enable scalable and efficient testing environments.
- Technical Engagement (Approx. 60%): Partner closely with engineering teams on architecture discussions, including databases, security, networking, latency, and performance considerations.
- Automation & Performance Strategy: Support and influence Selenium-based automation initiatives, performance testing, and broader quality engineering frameworks.
- Program Leadership & Reporting (Approx. 40%): Manage transformation roadmaps, track progress against structured 30-60-90 day plans, and deliver bi-weekly updates. Represent quality engineering initiatives in executive and leadership forums.
- Metrics & Governance: Develop, track, and report quality metrics to measure testing maturity and program effectiveness.
Required Experience:
- 12+ years of overall experience with strong technical depth and enterprise program leadership.
- Hands-on understanding of Java, Python, .NET, C++, Oracle, MongoDB, SQL, and Power BI.
- Strong background in testing strategy, quality engineering, and automation frameworks.
- Experience participating in architecture, database, and security discussions.
- Proven ability to lead enterprise-level testing or quality transformation initiatives.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with JMeter and performance testing.
- Mainframe exposure.
- Financial services industry background.
- Experience with Selenium, Zephyr, JIRA, and modern test management tools.
Technology Requirements:
- Required: Java, Python, .NET, C++, Oracle, MongoDB, SQL, Power BI.
- Preferred: JMeter, Performance Testing Tools, Mainframe Technologies.
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelors Degree.

Compensation & Location
