Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Sr. Oracle DBA with AWS expertise to lead and manage the migration of Oracle databases to AWS cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on role focused on migrating from on-premises Oracle to AWS and PostgreSQL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the migration of Oracle databases to AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions for database provisioning, storage, and backups using AWS services like RDS, EC2, S3, and others.
  • Utilize AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) for seamless database migration.
  • Assess current on-premise database environments and recommend best-fit AWS cloud architecture.
  • Plan and execute the migration strategy, including data transfer, testing, and post-migration optimization.
  • Perform regular database maintenance, performance tuning, and optimizations for Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c).
  • Manage database backups, recovery, and high availability solutions (Data Guard, RAC, GoldenGate).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, ensuring the stability and performance of production databases.
  • Experience with Heterogenous Migration.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
  • Proven experience in migrating Oracle databases to AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services relevant to database management (RDS, EC2, S3, DMS).
  • Strong understanding of Oracle database versions 11g, 12c, 19c.
  • Experience with high availability solutions like Data Guard, RAC, GoldenGate.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL is a plus.
  • AWS Certification is a nice to have.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
