Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong background in the retail/ecommerce sector. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of combined experience in functional QA and test automation. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive manual and automated test strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust manual and automated test cases.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks using programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Collaborate with development teams in an Agile/SCRUM environment to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Utilize Jira and TestRail for test case management and defect tracking.
- Employ automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks to enhance testing efficiency.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Conduct root cause analysis of defects and provide detailed reports to the development team.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
Requirements:
- MUST HAVE: Retail/Ecommerce experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of experience in a combined functional QA and test automation (SDET) role.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing comprehensive manual and automated test strategies.
- Proficiency in developing and executing both manual and automated test cases, with a strong emphasis on automation.
- Skilled in programming languages commonly used in test automation such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Proficient in SCRUM/Agile methodologies, adept at facilitating agile and rapid development cycles.
- Proficient in using Jira, TestRail, and familiar with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in our Seattle, WA office. The contract duration is for 6+ months.
Special Requirements
Visa USC,GC,H4EAD; Only Local Candidate; Hybrid 2 days per week; In-person interviews may be required.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $60,000 – $120,000 per year (Estimated)
