Position: DevOps Engineer with Ansible
Type: Contract

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on Ansible for a contract position in Charlotte, NC. The role requires extensive experience in DevOps and release automation within enterprise environments. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing Ansible Tower/AWX, and ensuring efficient artifact management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or Harness.
- Create and manage Ansible playbooks, Jinja2 templates, surveys, and role-based workflows using Ansible Tower or AWX.
- Utilize Python scripting for build and release automation, including file processing, YAML/JSON/XML parsing, and subprocess orchestration.
- Manage artifacts using JFrog Artifactory, including publishing, promotion workflows, and environment-based folder structures.
- Implement and manage database change management tooling like Liquibase.
- Ensure Git proficiency, including branching strategies, cherry-picking, merge conflict resolution, and LFS management.
- Build automation solutions intended for teams with limited CI/CD background.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to build, release, and deployment processes.
Requirements:
- 10+ years in DevOps or release automation roles within enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for build and release automation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance across multiple platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, Harness).
- Expertise in Ansible Tower or AWX, including playbook development and Jinja2 templating.
- Experience with JFrog Artifactory.
- Strong Git proficiency.
- Experience with Liquibase or equivalent database change management tooling.
- Experience building automation for teams with limited CI/CD background.
This is a contract position located in Charlotte, NC. Locals are preferred, and an in-person interview is required.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
