Role Summary:

Seeking a Lead Data Engineer with extensive experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. This role will be instrumental in shaping our data strategy, ensuring data quality, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in big data technologies, ETL processes, and cloud data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and optimize robust and scalable data pipelines using various ETL/ELT tools and programming languages.
  • Develop and manage data warehousing solutions and data lakes.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and reliability through rigorous testing and validation processes.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Implement and maintain data governance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to the team’s technical growth.
  • Stay current with emerging data technologies and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale data solutions.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Hands-on experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application in data engineering.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $130,000 – $170,000 per year (Estimated)
