Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will work independently in all aspects of business analysis, leveraging expert Agile skills to collaborate successfully with development teams. You will create epics and milestones to advance the technology solution and employ design thinking to iterate on hypotheses that solve user needs. This role requires the ability to significantly contribute to the solution vision and target operating model, effectively collaborating with stakeholders to drive solution design decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research by interviewing business counterparts to effectively draw out and articulate business needs, problems, or opportunities.
- Gather and analyze requirements, including current state and future state workflows, user stories, acceptance criteria, data mapping, data flows, and UI wireframes.
- Manage stakeholders by socializing design components, building professional relationships, and influencing skills to advance objectives.
- Work closely with and influence developers, advocating for business needs, to achieve technology outcomes that support business objectives.
- Apply knowledge of technology to understand possibilities and quickly learn new technology concepts.
- Prepare for, initiate, and run cross-functional team meetings or workshops that drive to decisions.
- Develop business outcomes and objectives, achieving stakeholder buy-in.
- Create user stories, contribute to solution backlog and backlog grooming, and contribute to backlog prioritization.
- Identify required capabilities and enablers, as well as milestones and roadmap to execute the solution design.
- Continuously increase knowledge of Parametric and utilize domain expertise in Parametrics asset management business and its technology landscape.
- Apply knowledge of enterprise goals to design and decision-making.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and written, to peers, business partners, architects, and developers.
- Document meetings and work, communicating decisions through written content.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree required.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in Business Analysis and/or Product Owner roles.
- Strong experience in querying, mapping, and documenting data.
- Experience leading and directing others to achieve measurable results.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate customized solutions to meet business requirements.
- Advanced experience working with Agile/Kanban software development processes.
- Advanced skills using tools like Excel and Visio/Lucid for documenting workflows and data mapping.
- Ability to be comfortable with ambiguity and flexible in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to thrive in a matrixed organization.
- Understanding of analysis and documentation goals throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ability to facilitate decision-making through workshops.
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a changing environment under tight deadlines.
- Ability to independently manage personal timelines and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to successfully manage and coordinate simultaneous project deliverables across groups and teams.
- Strong experience with SQL, Excel, Visio/Lucid, Jira, Confluence.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $70,000 – $120,000 per year
