Job Overview:
GVR INFOTEK LLC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Backend Engineer with expertise in Node.js and Generative AI (GenAI) for a hybrid contract role in Sunnyvale, CA. This position requires a strong background in building and integrating AI-powered agents, workflows, and applications using modern GenAI frameworks and APIs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Node.js, REST APIs, and providing operations support for backend tools. This is a W2 role, and candidates must be committed, hard-working, energetic, and dedicated to navigating a large backend team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and integrate AI-powered agents, workflows, and applications using GenAI frameworks and APIs.
- Build and maintain robust backend services using Node.js.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs for various applications and services.
- Provide operations support for backend end-to-end tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in production environments.
- Optimize application performance and scalability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in backend development and GenAI.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and best practices.
- Work effectively within a large backend team environment (60+ members).
- Ensure the security and integrity of applications and data.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding project status and technical challenges.
- Adapt to new technologies and challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions.
- Ensure all work adheres to client requirements and standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Extremely Strong 7+ Years of Experience with Node.js development.
- Very Strong experience with REST APIs based development/automation.
- Mandatory experience in GenAI & Backend Engineering.
- Proven experience building and integrating AI-powered agents, workflows, or applications using modern GenAI frameworks and APIs.
- Experience providing Operations Support for Backend E2E Tools.
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- Must be committed, very hard-working, energetic, and dedicated.
- Ability to navigate through a large backend team (60+ members).
- LinkedIn profile is a must.
- Must be a W2 candidate.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year
