Job Overview
PennDOT is looking for a mid-level Front-End Developer to assist in the design and development of the PA Unified Crash System. The developer will work closely with the Technical Lead and Application Architect to design, develop, test, and document application code.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop responsive and accessible web applications using Angular (14+).
- Work with ArcGIS Maps API / GIS integrations.
- Integrate RESTful APIs with front-end applications.
- Participate in application design, development, testing, and documentation.
- Follow best practices for design patterns, SOLID principles, and mobile-first development.
- Ensure compliance with Section 508, ADA, and WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Experience with ArcGIS / Esri GIS technologies.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL / PostGIS.
- Familiarity with Git / Azure Repos.
- Experience with responsive UI design.
- Knowledge of Section 508 / WCAG accessibility standards.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Jasmine / Karma testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise / ArcGIS Online.
- Experience with GeoEvent, Survey123, Field Maps, or Experience Builder.
Special Requirements
Final Round interview will be onsite. Requires compliance with Section 508, ADA, and WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards. Work Authorization details required from candidate. Expected Rate required from candidate. Availability to start required from candidate.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $60 – $85 per year
