Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Oracle Database Developer with over 9 years of expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle databases within the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive DBA knowledge, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive database strategies that ensure performance, security, and reliability for critical financial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex Oracle database systems tailored to financial services needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including application developers, system architects, and business stakeholders to align database solutions with organizational goals.
  • Develop and implement database tuning, optimization, and high-availability solutions (e.g., Oracle RAC, Data Guard).
  • Monitor database performance, analyze issues, and apply best practices for continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of the latest Oracle features, tools, and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Manage and coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation for database initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in database architecture, coding, and documentation.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 9+ years of proven experience as an Oracle Database Developer and DBA knowledge, with significant experience in the financial services industry.
  • Strong leadership abilities with previous experience leading technical teams or projects.
  • Expertise in PL/SQL, SQL, Oracle architecture, and related technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of performance tuning, high-availability solutions, and disaster recovery.
  • Familiarity with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and other HA solutions pertinent to financial data environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or higher certification.
  • Experience with cloud-based Oracle solutions or migration to cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of scripting (Shell, Python, Perl).
  • Familiarity with financial industry regulations and compliance requirements.

This is a full-time, onsite position in Alpharetta, GA.


Special Requirements

Financial services industry experience required. Oracle RAC, Data Guard knowledge preferred. Cloud experience preferred. Scripting knowledge preferred. Familiarity with financial industry regulations and compliance requirements.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $75 – $95 per year (Estimated)

Location: Alpharetta, GA
