About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Senior Data Engineer/Lead to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructure. You will be responsible for leading data engineering initiatives, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the scalability and efficiency of our data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Develop and optimize data models for various analytical and reporting needs.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering technologies and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer or Data Engineering Lead.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with various database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL).
- Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies like Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, etc.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
