Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP IS-Oil PRA/JVA Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our client’s team for a critical SAP S/4HANA transformation project within the Oil & Gas industry. This role is primarily remote, with occasional onsite support required in Houston, TX. You will play a pivotal role in leading RAPID Discovery workshops, assessing current processes, and designing a strategic roadmap for the S/4HANA and RISE with SAP implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary SAP IS-Oil PRA/JVA Subject Matter Expert for Oil & Gas business processes.
- Lead and facilitate RAPID Discovery workshops with both business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and identify system gaps.
- Assess the current SAP IS-Oil landscape and provide expert recommendations for optimization and transformation to S/4HANA.
- Design and deliver a strategic roadmap and solution architecture for SAP Oil & Gas modules, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Provide in-depth expertise in Production Revenue Accounting (PRA) and Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) processes specific to the Oil & Gas sector.
- Collaborate closely with functional and technical teams to ensure seamless integration and adherence to SAP best practices throughout the transformation.
- Support RISE with SAP initiatives and cloud transformation strategies, contributing to the overall modernization of the SAP landscape.
- Offer advisory support for upstream Oil & Gas operations, including critical areas like production and revenue distribution.
- Assist in the detailed solution design, business process optimization, and system integration efforts.
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience with SAP IS-Oil modules, with a specific focus on:
- Production Revenue Accounting (PRA)
- Joint Venture Accounting (JVA)
- Proven experience working within the Oil & Gas industry, understanding its unique business challenges and processes.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or significant transformation projects.
- Experience with RISE with SAP or other SAP cloud transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of Oil & Gas upstream business processes is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to lead business workshops, discovery sessions, and strategic roadmap planning initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder communication, presentation, and consulting skills are required.
- Ability to provide onsite support in Houston, TX when needed.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $130,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
