About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. SFCC Backend Engineer to join our remote team. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust backend functionalities for Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) storefronts. You will play a crucial part in optimizing performance, ensuring security, and integrating with various third-party services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Backend Development: Design, implement, and maintain SFCC backend functionalities, including business logic and customizations.
  • SFRA Implementation: Extend and optimize SFCC Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA) for backend services.
  • API & Integration Management: Develop and maintain integrations with third-party services, including payment gateways, Order Management Systems (OMS), etc.
  • Performance Optimization: Improve SFCC backend performance through effective caching strategies and adherence to best coding practices.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to security best practices and compliance with industry standards.
  • Code Reviews & Best Practices: Enforce high coding standards, conduct thorough code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
  • Troubleshooting & Debugging: Identify and resolve backend performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and technical bottlenecks efficiently.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, designers, and product/project managers to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Continuously keep up with SFCC advancements, emerging backend technologies, and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Looking for 1+ years of SFCC backend developer experience.
  • 10+ years of overall experience in backend development, with at least 4 years specifically in SFCC development.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, and SFCC server-side development.
  • Demonstrated experience with SFCC Business Manager, Jobs, Pipelines, and Controllers.
  • Expertise in Commerce API, OCAPI, and third-party integrations.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience working with version control systems such as Git and Bitbucket.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Remote
