About the Role:

Comspark Group, a global innovation-driven technology firm with over 18 years of leadership in resource outsourcing, is seeking a senior, qualified Healthcare Technology Project Manager for one of its direct clients. This is an onsite position located in Columbia, South Carolina, with a contract duration of 12+ months. The role requires local candidates to South Carolina, who must submit local DL or any alternate resident proof. Experience in State/public sector projects is mandatory.

Daily Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists with developing business requirements.
  • Builds and executes project plans.
  • Manages project risks and issues.
  • Ensures all deliverables and activities are completed with high quality and in a timely fashion.
  • Reports on project status and strategies orally and in writing.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Interacts with staff, management, and internal/external organizations, including vendors, for project planning, portfolio/program planning, metrics, reports, and project management documentation.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working with SharePoint and other typical project management tools, including Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project, Word, Access, and Excel.
  • Experience with risk management, including identifying risk triggers and managing risks to project plan tasks.
  • Ability to create and document key project management documents and artifacts.
  • Superb communication skills (written and oral).
  • Effective listening skills.
  • Willingness and ability to effectively engage with people and organizations; ability to get people with competing, diverse interests to work together.
  • Experience in Medicaid or other healthcare claims system(s) IT projects is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must be able to manage multiple high-profile, high-priority projects simultaneously.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Superb written and oral communication skills, including the ability to give presentations to executive management. Strong proficiency in English is required.

Required Skills:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in project management.
  • 1-3+ years of project management in a healthcare insurance information technology environment.
  • Project planning experience, including effort estimation on technical tasks and resource allocation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Medicaid or Healthcare Delivery Systems experience.

Required Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).

Special Requirements

Only Local to South Carolina Candidates, Must submit Local DL OR any alternate resident proof. Need State/public sector Experience.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $70,000 – $100,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Columbia, SC
