Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Storage Administrator to join our team. The role involves designing, deploying, and managing NetApp storage solutions, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and data protection. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of storage protocols, SAN fabric infrastructure, and data migration strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy NetApp storage solutions based on client requirements and industry best practices.
  • Install, configure, and test NetApp hardware and software components.
  • Deploy and manage storage protocols such as NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel.
  • Configure and optimize SAN Fabric infrastructure (e.g., Cisco MDS, Brocade) for reliable, scalable, and high-performance connectivity.
  • Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of NetApp storage systems.
  • Implement data protection and disaster recovery solutions using NetApp SnapMirror, SnapVault, MetroCluster, and other technologies.
  • Facilitate block and file migrations between NetApp clusters, including switched and non-switched cluster migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and no data loss.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate NetApp storage solutions into existing IT environments.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest NetApp technologies and certifications.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Storage Administrator, with a focus on NetApp technologies.
  • Expertise in designing, deploying, and managing NetApp storage systems.
  • Strong knowledge of storage protocols (NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel).
  • Experience with SAN Fabric infrastructure (Cisco MDS, Brocade).
  • Proficiency in data protection and disaster recovery solutions (SnapMirror, SnapVault, MetroCluster).
  • Experience with data migration strategies for NetApp storage.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Relevant NetApp certifications are a plus.

Additional Information:

  • Location: Englewood Cliffs, NJ
  • Employment Type: Contract
  • Rate: $45/hour (estimated annual salary based on full-time employment)

Compensation & Location

Salary: $93,600 – $110,000 per year (Estimated)
