Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with a strong background in healthcare client experience to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, managing, and optimizing efficient ETL pipelines and data processing workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficiently use Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Build and manage efficient ETL pipelines using Databricks workflows or other orchestration frameworks.
  • Ingest and process structured and semi-structured data using PySpark.
  • Utilize fundamental AWS services (S3, SQS) or similar cloud services.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure using Terraform and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Perform query tuning and performance optimization in SQL and/or SparkSQL.
  • Work with data warehousing solutions like Snowflake or similar.
  • Leverage Spark SQL for advanced data processing.
  • Collaborate with clients and implementation teams to understand data distribution requirements.
  • Perform data analysis and data mapping to produce client output.
  • Build and optimize data distribution extracts and scripts.
  • Optimize the performance of data extract scripts.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience working for a cloud-based data services provider serving large healthcare clients.
  • Hands-on experience with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources).
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and AWS services.
  • Familiarity with Terraform and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Experience with ETL pipeline development and data orchestration.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with PySpark for data processing.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
