Job Description: Ruby On Rails Developer (Healthcare Domain)

We are looking for an experienced Ruby On Rails Developer to join our client’s team in the Healthcare domain. This is a hybrid role requiring candidates to be local to the DMV area. The contract duration is 6+ months.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails.
  • Implement new features and functionalities based on business requirements.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring application performance and stability.
  • Work with databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, CouchDB).
  • Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
  • Experience with Agile software development principles, practices, and processes.
  • Proficiency in RSpec, Git, and Capistrano.
  • Experience with Angular, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Strong experience with RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle).
  • Experience deploying solutions on Linux platforms.
  • Experience with RESTful Web services using XML, XSD, JSON.
  • Experience with AMQP or JMS messaging.

Preferred Skills:

  • NoSQL (MongoDB, CouchDB) database experience.
  • SOA and Web service development experience.

Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Washington DC (Hybrid – Candidates must be local to the DMV area)
