Job Title: Senior Healthcare Business Analyst (Medicaid & Government IT Projects) (Hybrid)
Comspark Group, a global technology firm, is seeking a Senior Healthcare Business Analyst for a direct client engagement. This role requires 5 years of experience in government IT projects and 3 years of Medicaid or healthcare experience. The position is hybrid and located in Columbia, South Carolina. Only local candidates to South Carolina will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between business programs and the IT organization to provide technical solutions.
- Analyze business partner operations to identify opportunities for process automation.
- Assist in business process redesign and documentation for new technology.
- Translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications for IT.
- Manage changes to specifications and educate the IT organization on business direction.
- Negotiate agreements and commitments between business units and IT.
- Understand technological trends and apply them to enhance the enterprise’s competitive edge.
- Execute requirements development, including elicitation, analysis, specification, and validation.
- Document and analyze agency business processes and recommend improvements.
- Document and analyze data requirements and relationships.
- Participate in requirements management processes, including change control, version control, and traceability.
- Provide requirements interpretation and guidance to technical and test teams.
- Proactively identify risks, issues, and action items, leading to possible solutions.
- Interact with internal and external organizations, including vendors, State and Federal government agencies, providers, and beneficiaries.
- May make recommendations for buy versus build decisions.
- Research, maintain, and manage business rules, requirements, and models in a repository.
- Perform other project-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- 5 years of experience in government IT projects as a business analyst or related duties.
- 5 years of experience eliciting, mining, and documenting business rules and processes.
- 3 years of Medicaid or healthcare experience.
Preferred Skills:
- General Subject Matter Expertise as it relates to Medicaid or other healthcare insurance experience (project or operations).
- Microsoft Office Project/Project Server.
- Microsoft DevOps.
Additional Requirements:
- Must submit Local DL OR any alternate resident proof.
- Need State/public sector Experience.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $55 – $75 per year
