Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced GCP Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and secure applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This is a long-term contract position requiring 3 days a week onsite presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and secure applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Manage GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Cloud Build.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform / Deployment Manager.
  • Monitor applications and infrastructure using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Operations Suite.
  • Implement IAM roles, security policies, VPC, firewall rules, and network configurations.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and scalability.
  • Work with DevOps teams to implement containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Perform cloud migration from on-premises to GCP.
  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years of overall experience required.
  • Must be a local resident of Minnesota (MN Locals).
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools and automation.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
  • Strong understanding of cloud security and networking principles.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $60 – $65 per year
