Job Description: Lead Cloud Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Cloud Specialist with a minimum of 5-6 years of experience in public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. This role involves the deployment and support of cloud services, requiring a strong understanding of core cloud components including compute, storage, networking, and identity and access management.
The ideal candidate will possess experience with scripting and automation tools like Python or Bash, enabling efficient management and deployment of cloud infrastructure. A solid understanding of basic networking concepts, including DNS, routing, and firewalls, is essential, as is familiarity with security fundamentals such as access control and data protection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, manage, and support cloud services on AWS or Azure.
- Utilize scripting and automation tools (Python, Bash) for infrastructure management.
- Troubleshoot and support cloud-based systems in an enterprise environment.
- Implement and manage infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation.
- Familiarize with hybrid environments, integrating on-premises systems with cloud services.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and compliance frameworks such as NIST or IRS Publication 1075.
- Implement and manage cloud monitoring, logging, and performance tools.
- Configure and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions in cloud environments.
- Contribute to DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain strong documentation and communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Experience with scripting/automation tools (Python, Bash).
- Understanding of core cloud components (compute, storage, networking, IAM).
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts (DNS, routing, firewalls).
- Familiarity with security fundamentals (access control, data protection).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation).
