Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Data QA professional to join our client’s team in San Ramon, CA. This role requires 8+ years of hands-on testing experience, with a strong focus on leading Enterprise EDW/DWH QA engagements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with major data platforms such as Redshift, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, and Databricks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Data QA activities for enterprise data warehousing and data integration projects.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and test plans.
- Create detailed test cases and testing artifacts, including test execution reports.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of data across various platforms.
- Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL) is essential.
- Experience in QA for streaming data ingestion is a significant plus.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of data pipelines using Python/Pyspark, ADLS, ADF, Synapse is beneficial.
- Work with large-scale Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Integration, Data Migration, and upgrade projects.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and meet business requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 8+ years of hands-on testing experience in Enterprise EDW/DWH QA.
- Proven experience leading QA engagements.
- Extensive experience with data platforms: Redshift, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery.
- Strong proficiency in SQL.
- Experience in creating Test Automation frameworks.
- Experience working with large-scale Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Integration, Data Migration, and upgrade projects.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in QA for streaming data ingestion.
- Knowledge of data pipelines using Python/Pyspark, ADLS, ADF, Synapse.
- Experience with cloud data platforms.
