Job Title: Lead Data Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Engineer to join our remote team. This role requires expertise in ETL processes, Snowflake, Azure Data Services, and a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts. Experience in the Health Insurance domain is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of ETL/ELT solutions using Matillion and DBT.
• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for data warehousing and analytics.
• Specialize in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) using Matillion ETL tool.
• Specialize in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) using DBT ETL tool.
• Build and optimize data models within Snowflake-based data warehouses.
• Utilize Azure Data Services such as ADLS and SQL Server (managed and non-managed).
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across all data platforms.
• Apply best practices and latest trends in ETL/ELT processes.
• Work with Star Schema & Snowflaking models, Normalization, Denormalization, Aggregations, and Data Quality concepts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Mentor junior data engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues.
• Contribute to the overall data strategy and architecture.
• Ensure efficient data processing and storage.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines and processes.
• Stay current with emerging data engineering technologies and methodologies.
• Implement data governance policies and procedures.
• Optimize query performance and data loading times.
• Work closely with business analysts and data scientists to support their needs.
• Ensure security and compliance of data assets.

• Matillion ETL

• Data Warehousing (Star Schema, Snowflaking, Normalization, Denormalization, Aggregations)
• Data Quality
• Health Insurance domain experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on ETL/ELT.
• Strong proficiency in Matillion and DBT.
• Expertise in Snowflake data warehousing.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing principles and dimensional modeling.
• Experience working in the Health Insurance domain is a significant advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Visa: USC/GC (Only W2). Domain: Health Insurance.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year
