Job Description: .NET Developer

We are looking for an experienced .NET Developer to join our team. This role is initially remote but requires the candidate to be a CURRENT SC or NC resident and be ready to relocate if needed. The position involves designing and implementing software systems using modern .NET technologies.

  • Location: Columbia, SC / Remote (Must be SC or NC resident, potential relocation)
  • Employment Type: Remote C2C Contract
  • Duration: 12+ months
  • Responsibilities:
    • Independently design and implement medium to large-scale software systems and components using .NET architectures.
    • Develop data-driven applications utilizing MS SQL Server.
    • Build web-based software systems using N-tier architectures, dynamic content, highly-scalable approaches, and complex security models.
    • Perform code development, unit testing, source code management, build management, integration testing, and deployment.
    • Communicate the design and implementation of software systems, including relevant strengths/weaknesses and reasons for implementation decisions.
    • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff, customers, and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate effectively with DSS and other State information technology staff.
  • Skills Needed:
    • 3+ years of experience independently designing and implementing medium to large-scale software systems and components using .NET architectures.
    • 3+ years of experience developing data-driven applications utilizing MS SQL Server.
    • 3+ years of experience building web-based software systems, utilizing N-tier architectures, dynamic content, highly-scalable approaches, and complex security models/implementations.
    • 2+ years of knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and at least two application, database, messaging or web server systems.
    • 2+ years of successful design and implementation of multiple software components and subsystems.
    • Experience with Human Services (CAPSS) software development is a plus.
    • Experience with Agile software development is a plus.
    • Experience with performance, security, and regression testing tools.
  • Required Education/Certifications:
    • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
