Role Overview:
Nueva Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Sr. AWS AI Engineer for a contract position in Boston, MA. Our mission is to streamline business processes and deliver constituent value by implementing AI solutions responsibly, with a strong focus on data security and human-centered design within a highly regulated industry. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in AI development and AWS services to help us build and deploy public sector AI solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead AI engineering initiatives by taking ownership of solutions and advocating for technical integrity and transparency in the development process.
- Engage directly with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy AI solutions using Amazon Bedrock and related AWS services.
- Explore opportunities to integrate AI into existing applications and workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand, document business requirements, and deliver impactful solutions.
- Ensure best practices in model deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Complete AI COE artifacts and technical documentation for knowledge transfer and audit compliance.
- Participate in collaborative development using version control and CI/CD pipelines.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in Applications, AI/ML development and implementation.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Amazon Bedrock and related AWS services.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML frameworks, model deployment, and optimization.
- Understanding of Application integration patterns and demonstrated project work integrating into complex systems.
- Proficiency in React and TypeScript for building AI-powered user interfaces.
- Experience designing intuitive UI/UX for AI applications.
- Comfort using cloud-based version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior work in the public sector or government projects.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements and security standards.
- AWS AI Cloud Practitioner certifications are desired.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $130,000 – $170,000 per year (Estimated)
