Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to lead the design, development, and execution of robust testing strategies for cloud-based web applications. This role requires strong expertise in test automation, API testing, and quality engineering practices, along with the ability to work in complex, cross-functional environments. You will be responsible for defining and implementing comprehensive test strategies, developing and executing test plans, and performing various types of testing including functional, regression, end-to-end (E2E), performance, security, and usability testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, frameworks, and best practices aligned with organizational goals and industry standards.
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for cloud-based and web applications.
- Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, end-to-end (E2E), performance, security, and usability testing.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Conduct API testing using REST endpoints to validate backend services.
- Monitor, triage, and resolve production incidents, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for defects and production issues, and implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Track and report defects, test metrics, and quality insights to stakeholders.
- Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and automation capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in software testing/QA.
- Strong experience in test automation and quality engineering.
- Hands-on experience with web application testing in cloud environments.
- Proficiency in API testing (RESTful services).
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including logs and storage services.
- Knowledge of automotive systems testing, including CAN signals and embedded integration testing.
- Familiarity with vehicle electrical concepts (e.g., PWM, logic gates).
- Experience with test-driven development (TDD) or similar practices.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
