Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Telecom / UC Engineer with expertise in Avaya systems, SIP, dial plans, PSTN, and call routing. This role also requires experience with CCaaS (Five9, NICE, Verint) and UCaaS platforms (Teams Phone, Zoom Phone). The engineer will be responsible for designing IVR flows, troubleshooting complex call issues, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of voice services. An in-person interview is mandatory for this position, and local candidates are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Avaya systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Configure and troubleshoot SIP, dial plans, PSTN, and call routing configurations.
- Implement and support CCaaS solutions including Five9, NICE, and Verint.
- Deploy and manage UCaaS platforms such as Microsoft Teams Phone and Zoom Phone.
- Design and optimize Interactive Voice Response (IVR) flows.
- Diagnose and resolve complex voice call issues and network problems.
- Ensure voice services are reliable, scalable, and meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams on voice infrastructure projects.
- Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
Required Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience with Avaya systems.
- Proficiency in SIP, dial plans, PSTN, and call routing.
- Hands-on experience with CCaaS platforms (Five9, NICE, Verint).
- Experience with UCaaS platforms (Microsoft Teams Phone, Zoom Phone).
- Strong IVR design and implementation skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities for voice and network issues.
- Understanding of voice network protocols and technologies.
Location and Interview Requirements
- Location: Bridgewater, NJ (Hybrid).
- Interview: In-person interview is a MUST. Locals are preferred.
Contract Details
- Employment Type: Contract.
- Duration: Long-term contract with potential for extension.

Compensation & Location
