Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Disaster Recovery (DR) Lead to manage and enhance the organizations disaster recovery strategy, ensuring business continuity across critical IT systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the organizations disaster recovery strategy
  • Ensure business continuity across critical IT systems and infrastructure

2. Technical Expertise

Strong hands-on experience in IT infrastructure including:

  • Servers
  • Storage
  • Networking
  • Cloud environments

Deep understanding of:

  • Backup and recovery technologies
  • Replication strategies
  • High-availability architectures

3. Disaster Recovery Planning

  • Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive DR plans
  • Align DR strategies with business objectives and compliance requirements
  • Define and manage:
    • Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)
    • Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)

4. Execution & Testing

  • Plan and lead disaster recovery exercises:
    • Tabletop drills
    • Full-scale failover testing
  • Document test results and identify gaps
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions

5. Product Evaluation & POC

  • Evaluate and recommend DR tools, platforms, and services
  • Perform Proof of Concept (POC) for DR solutions to validate:
    • Functionality
    • Performance
    • Integration
  • Manage vendor and service provider relationships

6. Risk Assessment & Compliance

  • Conduct risk assessments to identify system vulnerabilities
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations:
    • ISO 22301
    • NIST

7. Leadership & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with:
    • IT Operations
    • Security teams
    • Business units
  • Align DR strategies with organizational goals
  • Provide training and guidance on DR processes and responsibilities

8. Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor emerging DR and business continuity technologies
  • Drive process improvements to enhance system resilience
  • Minimize downtime and improve recovery efficiency

Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)
