Job Summary:

KK Associates LLC is seeking a skilled MongoDB Developer for a contract position in Culver City, CA. This role focuses on maintaining and configuring MongoDB instances, ensuring optimal performance and availability, and supporting large data insertions. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of MongoDB’s aggregation framework, drivers, and experience with Big Data solutions and DevOps automation tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and configure MongoDB instances.
  • Keep clear documentation of the database setup and architecture.
  • Write procedures for backup and disaster recovery.
  • Ensure databases achieve maximum performance and availability.
  • Design indexing strategies for optimal performance.
  • Configure, monitor, and deploy replica sets.
  • Upgrade databases through patches and updates.
  • Create roles and users and set their permissions.
  • Optimize insertions of large amounts of data.
  • Experience with Big Data solutions like Hadoop.
  • Experience with DevOps automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible, and others.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform is desirable.
  • Experience with other NoSQL Databases like Cassandra, Amazon DynamoDB etc.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Maintain and configure MongoDB instances.

  • Understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Previous experience on CI/CD pipeline.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Odyssey, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Transporter, GIT.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with other NoSQL Databases like Cassandra, Amazon DynamoDB.

Locals preferred.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $60 – $80 per year (Estimated)
