Job Title: Solutions / Cloud Architect (Lead Role)
This is an exciting Direct Client opportunity for a Solutions / Cloud Architect (Lead Role) in Richmond, VA. The role is hybrid and has a duration of 6 months, with a requirement of 15+ years of experience. Prior State Government Experience and local candidates are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead architecture and technical oversight for Medicaid (MES) solutions.
- Ensure compliance with CMS, MITA, and federal/state regulations.
- Drive system integration across modules (Eligibility, Provider, Pharmacy, etc.).
- Define architecture standards for APIs, data exchange, cloud, and security.
- Develop architecture artifacts including diagrams, data flows, and roadmaps.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and modernization initiatives.
Required Skills:
- 15+ years in solution/cloud architecture, with strong experience in AWS/Azure.
- Demonstrated experience in enterprise architecture, integration, APIs, and security.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills.
- Proven experience working with vendors and cross-functional teams.
- Keywords: access management Virginia.
This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in cloud architecture and a proven ability to lead complex solutions, particularly within state government contexts. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in shaping the technical direction and ensuring the successful implementation of Medicaid solutions.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 per year (Estimated)
