Job Summary:

We are seeking a senior BMC/TrueSight Automation Engineer with extensive experience in server patching, BladeLogic, BCM, ADDM, CMDB, Windows/Linux administration, and scripting/automation. This role is critical for supporting public safety infrastructure and 911 systems, ensuring high availability and security.

Scope of Service:

  • Oversee the administration, maintenance, and upkeep of the TrueSight and discovery environment.
  • Handle the deployment and configuration of the TrueSight suite of products and BMC Discovery for PSAC infrastructure.
  • Support and coordinate Public Safety Critical Server Patching for MGMT Servers, Vesta, and NICE using BladeLogic Server Automation (BSA).
  • Coordinate and patch critical call taker positions with BCM (BladeLogic Desktop Patching) without impacting operations.
  • Support the Public Safety 911 enterprise monitoring environment using tools like BladeLogic Server Automation (BSA) and ADDM.
  • Diagnose and resolve incidents and implement corrective actions for known errors.
  • Maintain BMC BladeLogic and BMC ADDM environments.
  • Deploy and configure BMC BladeLogic suite and ADDM across PSAC infrastructure (NYPD, FDNY, EMS, DOITT including call takers, supervisors, dispatch operators, etc.).
  • Assist in configuration baselining, governance, and compliance.
  • Work closely with security teams to address vulnerabilities and zero-day threats.
  • Standardize workstations and implement OS deployment / bare-metal provisioning.
  • Automate discovery/configuration of 2000+ nodes.
  • Help agencies track assets and eliminate manual spreadsheets.

Mandatory Skills:

  • At least 12 years of experience in the engineering field.
  • Server Patching and Lifecycle Management: Experience managing enterprise server patching using BMC TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA / BladeLogic). Ability to plan, schedule, deploy, and report patching across Windows and Linux.
  • TrueSight Server Automation Administration: Act as SME/System Administrator for BladeLogic. Maintain infrastructure, job configurations, compliance content, and workflows. Perform upgrades, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Scripting and Automation Expertise: Proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, and Python scripting. Ability to build automation scripts, integrations, and operational tooling.
  • BMC Client Management (BCM) Administration: Experience with software deployment, inventory management, remote control, and endpoint configuration.
  • BMC Discovery Operations (ADDM): Experience with discovery configuration and scanning, troubleshooting and data quality management, and CMDB integration.
  • CMDB and Asset Management: Experience with BMC Remedy CMDB, asset lifecycle management, CI data management, reconciliation, normalization, and relationship mapping.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with BMC automation toolset and the above areas.
  • Experience with PXE / OSD.
  • TPL scripting.
  • BMC Client Management (FootPrints).
  • Windows Patch Management.
  • Windows/UNIX Software Distribution and automation.
  • Windows/UNIX Configuration Management / Compliance.
  • Proficiency with Windows 10/11.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)
