Job Description:

As an PowerBI Developer, you will be a part of an Agile team to build healthcare applications and implement new features while adhering to the best coding development standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Power BI Reporting & Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards aligned to business and enterprise analytics requirements. Translate business needs into effective KPIs, visualizations, and insight driven experiences. Develop thin reports by reusing centralized semantic models to promote consistency, scalability, and governed self service. Ensure reports are intuitive, user friendly, and aligned with Power BI UX and accessibility best practices.
  • Build, optimize, and maintain semantic models: Use Power BI Desktop and Microsoft Fabric (shared datasets / semantic models). Design efficient star and snowflake schemas tailored for reporting and analytical workloads. Develop advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, and complex time intelligence logic. Promote reusability and standardization through shared metrics and certified datasets. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and lineage across reports and downstream consumers.
  • Data Connectivity and Integration: Connect Power BI to diverse data sources including SQL databases, data warehouses, lakehouses, and cloud platforms. Leverage Microsoft Fabric components (OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Semantic Models) for modern analytics architectures. Implement and manage data refresh schedules, gateways, credentials, and capacity considerations. Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure reliable, governed, and high performing data pipelines.
  • Security and Governance: Implement Row Level Security (RLS) and role based access control aligned to enterprise policies. Follow enterprise BI governance, certification, versioning, and deployment standards. Support workspace strategy, app publishing, and lifecycle management in Power BI Service and Fabric.

Mandatory skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (Desktop & Service)
  • Expertise in DAX, data modeling, thin reports, and semantic model design
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and advanced SQL
  • Proven experience in Power BI performance tuning and optimization
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, including shared semantic models and lake centric analytics
  • Experience with Power BI deployment, workspaces, and app publishing

Educational Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree (BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc).
  • Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.

Salary: $55 – $75 per year
