Job Description: Application Support Engineer
Scalable Systems Inc. is seeking a skilled Application Support Engineer to provide comprehensive technical support for a Life Sciences customer. This role involves troubleshooting application issues, supporting cloud-based environments, and ensuring operational stability within an Agile framework. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application support, cloud infrastructure, and experience with modern development practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line and advanced technical support for critical applications.
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and document application issues using ServiceNow.
- Collaborate effectively with vendors and internal IT teams to ensure stable application hosting and performance.
- Support application deployment activities and upgrades within Agile sprint cycles.
- Apply ITIL principles for effective incident, problem, and change management.
- Monitor application health and performance using cloud-based and data analysis tools.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and a knowledge base for recurring issues and solutions.
- Communicate technical solutions and status updates clearly and effectively to stakeholders and end-users.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and maintain legacy applications to ensure continued functionality.
- Develop and maintain APIs and support frontend frameworks.
- Ensure adherence to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Angular 10 and .NET Core Web API framework.
- Hands-on knowledge of Web API, HTML, CSS, JSON, and RESTful services.
- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure hosting, operations, and architecture.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK stack).
- Strong proficiency in ASP.NET Core, SQL, and application support activities.
- Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and maintaining legacy applications.
- Knowledge of API development and frontend frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of ITIL framework and Agile methodology.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Python and AI concepts for automation.
- PL/SQL fundamentals.
- Exposure to Azure cloud services.
- Experience with frontend frameworks like React or Angular.
Special Requirements
Contract duration: 6+ months. Job Type: C2C or W2 Contract. Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure. Apply ITIL principles for incident, problem, and change management.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $55 – $65 per year
