Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior AWS Database Engineer with expertise in Aurora and MySQL to join our team. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing our cloud database infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on data migration from on-premises to AWS. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in database performance tuning, version control, and deployment best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute data migration projects from on-premises environments to AWS cloud platforms.
  • Ensure adherence to architectural principles, coding standards, and best practices in database management.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and provide mentorship to junior team members.
  • Oversee and contribute to the development of both front-end interfaces and back-end services related to database operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate effectively with product owners and stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Implement and manage version control for database deployments.
  • Perform database performance tuning to optimize query execution and resource utilization.
  • Maintain strong proficiency in AWS Aurora DB and MySQL.
  • Possess generic managerial skills and potentially leadership skills.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Extensive experience in data migration from on-premises to cloud environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of version control systems and deployment strategies for databases.
  • Expertise in AWS Aurora DB and MySQL.
  • Strong understanding of database performance tuning techniques.
  • Familiarity with front-end and back-end service development.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Desirable Skills:

  • Good knowledge of Java Development.
