Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Java Architect to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, and enhancing features for application modernization. You will translate product requirements into functional, maintainable, and extensible software aligned with company objectives. This position requires collaboration with multiple teams to provide technical expertise and solutions to complex business problems. A key responsibility will be leading the design and build of architecture and technical design in AWS Cloud. You will also develop reusable assets and create a knowledge repository, acting as a team player with strong collaboration skills in a product setting. Adherence to Agile Sprints, Delivery Framework, and SDLC best practices is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and development of new features or enhancing existing features as part of Application Modernization.
- Translate product requirements into functional, maintainable, and extensible software in line with company objectives.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to provide technical know-how and solutions to complex business problems.
- Lead the design and build of the architecture/tech design in AWS Cloud.
- Develop reusable assets and create a knowledge repository.
- Act as a team player with the ability to collaborate and share ideas in a strong product setting.
- Adhere to Agile Sprints, Delivery Framework, and SDLC best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years of Java experience in back-end server-side software development.
- Strong Java development skills with the ability to prioritize, assign, and execute tasks throughout the entire SDLC.
- Strong foundational development experience in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Integration, Spring Security, Oracle, NoSQL, RDBMS, GIT, JIRA, Maven, Confluence, on Agile methodology.
- Experience in Restful APIs, API gateways (preferable Apigee), and Cloud Platforms (AWS/PCF).
- Knowledge and experience developing solutions for distributed systems architecture, including micro-services.
- Adept at integrating with 3rd party APIs and tools.
- Experience in Kafka or other Real-time Messaging platforms is an added advantage.
- Experience with a cloud platform: AWS, Google Cloud, etc.
- Superior problem-solving skills and debugging capabilities.
- Flexible and self-driven with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Great to Have:
- 8+ years of previous software engineering work, preferably in the Banking and Financial, Payment industry.
- Focus on shipping software that solves real problems for real people.
- Professionalism in writing well-designed, easy-to-test, and maintainable code.
- Continuous learning and a desire to become a better engineer and leader.
- Experience with large-scale real-time applications is an added advantage.
- Ability to amplify your team and foresee technological advancements.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)
Location: Berkley Heights, NJ
