About the Role:
We are seeking a senior Windchill Developer to design and implement custom PLM solutions and enhancements. This role is highly collaborative, requiring you to work within a squad to translate complex user requirements into robust technical designs. Beyond development, you will act as a technical guide for your team, solving complex challenges and providing recommendations for process improvements. You will be a key contributor to the SAFe Agile lifecycle, ensuring that all technical tasks are well-defined and delivered in alignment with broader program objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Custom Development: Design, develop, and implement tailored solutions and enhancements for the Windchill PLM system based on specific technical designs.
- Technical Mentorship: Assist squad members in troubleshooting technical challenges and provide guidance on implementing effective, scalable solutions.
- Agile Execution: Participate in all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, strictly adhering to the SAFe Agile framework.
- PI Objectives: Contribute to the successful delivery of Program Increment (PI) objectives through high-quality code and timely task completion.
- Innovation & Best Practices: Stay current with the latest Windchill PLM enhancements and industry best practices to provide actionable recommendations for process improvements.
- Training & Enablement: Assist in training fellow team members on newly developed features and core Windchill functionalities.
- Collaboration & Refinement: Lead technical design discussions and story refinement sessions to ensure well-defined tasks and accurate effort estimations.
Essential Skills:
- 6-8 years of experience as a Windchill Developer with a focus on enterprise-scale implementations.
- Expert-level proficiency in Core Java and Windchill customization techniques.
- Deep technical understanding of EIS PLM – Windchill architecture and modules.
- Proven experience working within the SAFe Agile framework.
- Strong analytical skills for translating user requirements into functional technical components.
- Excellent communication skills for participating in story refinement and collaborative design.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Windchill system administration or performance tuning.
- Familiarity with Windchill integration patterns with ERP or CAD systems.
- Certification in PTC Windchill Development or SAFe Practitioner.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices for PLM deployment.
