Job Opportunity: SQL DBA, Azure, Cloud Architecture

We are looking for a skilled SQL DBA with expertise in Azure and Cloud Architecture to join our team. This is a remote position offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure, focusing on database services.
  • Develop and execute cloud architecture strategies to support business objectives.
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
  • Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize database performance and application integration.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SQL, Azure, and cloud technologies.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a SQL DBA.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services, particularly Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Storage.
  • Expertise in cloud architecture design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in SQL query writing, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Experience with database security best practices.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications in Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Database Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Salary: $120,000 – $180,000 per year (Estimated)
