Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Salesforce Developer for a critical 6-month engagement in Trenton, New Jersey. This role is designed for a technical leader who can navigate the complexities of the Salesforce platform while integrating legacy systems and modern web technologies. As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of application development, from initial requirement gathering to final implementation and testing. This position requires a hybrid presence, making it ideal for local candidates in the New Jersey area who are looking to make a significant impact on a large-scale enterprise project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of innovative solutions within the Salesforce and Force.com environments, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to document application specifications and translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain custom code using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components, adhering to best practices and governor limits.
- Utilize Salesforce Web Services APIs, including SOAP, REST, Bulk API, and Metadata API, to facilitate seamless integrations with external systems.
- Participate in a self-directed Agile team environment, working closely with QA and project managers to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Identify and evaluate third-party vendor software and integration strategies to enhance the existing system landscape.
- Execute comprehensive testing strategies and manage the deployment process for complex application solutions.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in application development with a strong focus on Salesforce and object-oriented programming.
- Proven expertise in the Salesforce declarative environment and hands-on configuration experience.
- Active Salesforce Developer or Administrator certifications are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, Struts, JSP, and JavaScript for full-stack integration tasks.
- Deep understanding of the system landscape, with the ability to identify gaps and deliver robust end-state solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Project Environment
The project environment is fast-paced and collaborative, utilizing Agile methodologies to drive progress. You will be part of a team that values innovation and “outside the box” thinking. The duration is initially set for 6 months, with the potential for extension based on project needs and performance. This is a hybrid role, requiring onsite presence in Trenton, NJ, and is restricted to local candidates to ensure optimal collaboration during design sessions and implementation phases. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to quality and a proactive approach to solving complex technical challenges.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
