Position Summary
Empower Professionals Inc. is seeking a talented and motivated React Developer for a long-term contract opportunity in Cincinnati, OH. This is a hybrid onsite role requiring the candidate to be in the office 3-4 days per week. The initial contract duration is 12 months, with a high probability of extension based on performance and project needs. We are looking for a developer who is not only proficient in modern JavaScript frameworks but also understands the importance of building accessible, high-performance web applications for the enterprise.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality UI screens using the React JS framework and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Build and maintain a custom CSS framework for the enterprise from the ground up, utilizing SASS and Babel.
- Create reusable UI components that can be leveraged across multiple teams and systems to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Implement ADA compliant web application best practices to ensure accessibility for all users.
- Optimize web page performance and implement responsive web design strategies for a seamless cross-browser and cross-platform experience.
- Integrate front-end components with RESTful APIs and Spring-based backends.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development practices, including rapid prototyping and iterative releases.
- Apply Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices to enhance the visibility of web applications.
Technical Stack & Requirements
- Strong proficiency in React JS, JavaScript (ES6), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with CSS preprocessors like SASS and build tools like Babel.
- Familiarity with UI prototyping tools such as Adobe XD or similar.
- Knowledge of CI/CD build and setup processes.
- Deep understanding of ADA standards and web accessibility.
- Experience with REST API integration and a basic understanding of the Spring framework.
- Proficiency in source code control practices (Git).
- Ability to write well-tested, readable, and maintainable code.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $155,000 per year (Estimated)
