Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Production Planning (PP) Lead to spearhead and optimize SAP PP solutions across both legacy ECC and modern S/4HANA platforms. This critical role demands deep technical expertise in both discrete and process manufacturing, integration architecture, and strategic solutioning to support enterprise-wide digital transformation and operational excellence. As a lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end ‘Plan to Produce’ (P2P) lifecycle, ensuring that manufacturing processes are streamlined, efficient, and fully integrated with the broader SAP ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive blueprinting sessions, fit-gap analysis, and solution validation workshops for complex PP processes.
- Oversee end-to-end Plan to Produce (P2P) processes, including demand planning, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), capacity planning, shop floor control, and order settlement.
- Design scalable and modular PP solutions that align with long-term business goals and adhere to SAP best practices.
- Define and maintain enterprise structures, including work centers, routings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and production versions.
- Manage the integration landscape, ensuring seamless connectivity between PP and MM, SD, QM, PM, and CO modules.
- Architect robust interfaces with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), SCADA, PLC, and other external manufacturing platforms.
- Collaborate with middleware teams (SAP PI/PO, webMethods, Seeburger) to facilitate seamless data exchange across the enterprise.
- Configure core PP components, including MRP types, lot sizing, scheduling parameters, capacity evaluation, and order types.
- Implement advanced SAP features such as PPDS, Kanban, repetitive manufacturing, and batch management.
- Develop custom enhancements using ABAP, BADI, BAPI, User Exits, and CDS Views to meet unique business requirements.
- Ensure system performance and compliance with industry standards and local statutory requirements.
- Monitor system health, batch jobs, and background processes using SAP Solution Manager and Cloud ALM.
- Implement rigorous audit trails, authorization checks, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) to maintain system integrity.
Technical Environment
- SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
- Data migration and reporting tools: LSMW, BDC, BRF, Adobe Forms, SAP BW, and Tableau.
- Middleware: SAP PI/PO, webMethods.
- ITSM Tools: ServiceNow, Remedy.
- Process Modeling: Signavio, ARIS, Visio.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP PP.
- At least 3 full lifecycle SAP implementations completed from start to finish.
- Strong expertise in both ECC and S/4HANA PP configuration.
- Deep understanding of discrete and process manufacturing integration points.
- Experience in cloud-based SAP environments and multi-vendor landscapes.
- SAP Certified Application Associate in Production Planning (PP) or S/4HANA Manufacturing is highly preferred.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $230,000 per year (Estimated)
