Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Architect for a critical 12-month engagement in New York City. This role is designed for a visionary technical leader with over 15 years of experience in the data domain, specifically focusing on enterprise-level architecture, modeling, and performance engineering. As the financial landscape evolves toward 2026, the need for robust, scalable, and high-performance data systems has never been greater. This position requires a hybrid presence in our NYC office three days a week, ensuring close collaboration with stakeholders and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive enterprise data architectures that support high-volume data transformation and storage.
  • Lead data modeling efforts across various platforms including PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Snowflake to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
  • Optimize data archival strategies and performance engineering protocols to maintain system efficiency under heavy loads.
  • Develop advanced ETL/ELT workflows using industry-standard tools such as Informatica and Talend.
  • Create sophisticated data visualizations and business intelligence reports using Power BI to drive executive decision-making.
  • Utilize Advanced SQL and Unix Shell Scripting to automate complex data processes and maintain system health.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with broader business objectives, particularly within the banking sector.

Technical Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years (15+ preferred) of dedicated experience in enterprise data architecture and modeling.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Informatica or Talend for data integration.
  • Deep technical knowledge of PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Snowflake database environments.
  • Strong command of Power BI for advanced analytics and reporting.
  • Mastery of Advanced SQL and Unix Shell Scripting for backend data management.
  • Experience with Python, Databricks, and SPARK is highly desirable, especially within a banking context.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $175,000 – $235,000 per year (Estimated)
