Role Overview
The SAP Ariba Program Manager will be responsible for leading a high-impact integration modernization initiative for a premier Financial Services client. This role demands a unique combination of technical depth in SAP Ariba and SAP BTP, coupled with executive-level program leadership. The successful candidate will navigate complex enterprise environments, coordinating with cross-functional teams across the United States, Germany, and India to deliver scalable, future-ready procurement solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the full lifecycle of SAP Ariba integration projects, from initial planning and design thinking to agile execution, UAT, and hypercare support.
- Lead technical and functional teams in the deployment of SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite (CPI) to connect Ariba with external ecosystems like Orbis, MaxSight, and Compliance Catalyst.
- Facilitate high-level stakeholder engagement, including Fit-to-Standard workshops and solution design sessions for executive leadership.
- Manage multi-phase delivery cycles leveraging SAP Activate and Agile methodologies to ensure iterative value delivery and scope control.
- Oversee the creation of comprehensive documentation, including RICEF inventories, business process flows, and end-to-end requirements traceability.
- Coordinate testing cycles, including SIT, regression, and UAT, ensuring all deliverables meet the rigorous standards of the banking and financial services industry.
- Mentor cross-regional delivery teams, fostering a culture of accountability, proactive communication, and technical excellence.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of project or program management experience specifically within the SAP ecosystem.
- Deep functional knowledge of SAP Ariba modules, including SLP (Supplier Lifecycle and Performance), Supplier Risk, and Buying/Procurement.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and cloud integration patterns.
- Proficiency in SAP Signavio for process modeling and SAP Joule AI for automation workflows is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of regulated data handling and compliance requirements within the financial sector.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related business field.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or SAP Activate are strongly preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex technical narratives to non-technical executive stakeholders.
- Proven track record of managing vendor relationships and offshore/onshore delivery models.
Special Requirements
Financial Services domain restriction; Remote; Cross-region delivery (US, Germany, India).
Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $210,000 per year (Estimated)
