Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer for a critical 12-month contract position located onsite in Long Beach, CA. This role is specifically tailored for a seasoned professional with over 10 years of hands-on experience in full-stack application development. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated applications using the latest technology stack, including Java, Spring Boot, and Angular 18+.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust full-stack applications utilizing Java and Spring Boot for backend services.
- Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using Angular 18 or higher, ensuring high performance and accessibility.
- Architect and optimize MarkLogic database solutions for complex data storage and retrieval requirements.
- Manage relational data using MySQL, ensuring data integrity and performance tuning.
- Deploy and manage applications within Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) or Tanzu Application Service (TAS) environments.
- Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software delivery lifecycle.
- Integrate advanced analytics and user tracking capabilities using Matomo.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners and QA, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Ensure the security, scalability, and overall performance of all developed applications.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of professional software development experience.
- Expertise in Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem.
- Proficiency in Angular 18+ for frontend development.
- Strong experience with NoSQL databases, specifically MarkLogic.
- Solid understanding of MySQL and relational database design.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms like PCF/TAS.
- Familiarity with alternative NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB, Couchbase, Amazon DocumentDB, ArangoDB, or OrientDB.
- Proven track record in implementing CI/CD best practices.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
