Position Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and highly motivated Lab IT Support Engineer to join our team in Collegeville, PA. This role is essential for supporting and maintaining a large-scale global computing infrastructure that spans scientific and laboratory environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in end-user computing, infrastructure maintenance, and a passion for supporting scientific innovation through technology.

Core Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support a global computer infrastructure consisting of approximately 8,000 PCs.
  • Execute imaging and onboarding processes for new computers into the corporate domain and network.
  • Ensure the security and protection of all hardware assets through proactive maintenance.
  • Provide comprehensive hands-on desktop and end-user support, including complex break/fix activities.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues involving devices, network connectivity, and specialized laboratory software.
  • Design and implement efficient data flows for scientific and analytical instruments.
  • Act as a strategic partner to business and scientific teams to support specialized equipment and workflows.
  • Manage incidents, user requests, and access permissions while providing coaching to scientific staff.
  • Implement and validate data backup solutions for laboratory analytical equipment.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of computer software across various environments.
  • Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation and validation records.
  • Utilize ServiceNow for tracking incidents, service requests, and project milestones.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in IT support within a laboratory or scientific setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, networking, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Experience with enterprise-level imaging and deployment tools.
  • Familiarity with GxP environments and software validation processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with non-technical scientific staff.
  • Proficiency with ITSM tools, specifically ServiceNow.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $85,000 – $115,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Collegeville, PA
