Role Overview
SDH Systems is seeking a highly seasoned Java Developer for a critical onsite role in Dallas, Texas. This position requires a minimum of 12 years of professional experience in software development, specifically focusing on enterprise-level Java applications. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader capable of driving architectural decisions and mentoring junior staff while maintaining a hands-on approach to coding and system design. As we move into 2026, our technology stack is evolving to incorporate more cloud-native patterns and microservices architectures, and we need a veteran developer who can navigate these complexities with ease.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex Java-based applications using Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
- Architect scalable and high-performance backend systems that support high-volume transaction processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Perform rigorous code reviews and establish best practices for coding standards, documentation, and unit testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues, ensuring system reliability and performance.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our applications remain competitive and modern.
Technical Requirements
- 12+ years of extensive experience in Java/J2EE development.
- Expertise in Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
- Strong experience with Microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
- Proficiency in database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or NoSQL solutions like MongoDB.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, onsite environment.
