Role Overview
The AI Lead for Banking & Financial Services is a pivotal role designed for a visionary technologist with over 12 years of experience. In this remote position, you will lead the strategy and execution of advanced AI initiatives, focusing on Generative AI and Agentic AI systems tailored for the BFSI sector. You will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and compliant AI architectures that drive innovation in retail and corporate banking, payments, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end AI solution architectures, ensuring they are scalable and compliant with stringent banking regulations.
- Develop and optimize Generative AI applications, including LLM integration, prompt engineering, and the creation of robust RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines.
- Architect and orchestrate Agentic AI systems to enable autonomous workflows for banking operations, fraud detection, and credit intelligence.
- Oversee model development, including the fine-tuning of foundation models and the implementation of performance monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
- Drive the adoption of Responsible AI practices, ensuring governance, data privacy, and security are embedded in every AI solution.
- Utilize AWS cloud expertise to build serverless AI workflows using AWS Bedrock, Lambda, S3, and IAM.
- Mentor a team of AI/ML engineers and architects, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth.
- Collaborate with business, risk, and compliance teams to ensure AI roadmaps align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Technical Requirements
- 12+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a significant focus on AI/ML leadership.
- Deep expertise in Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Large Language Model (LLM) orchestration.
- Proven track record of delivering AI solutions within the Banking and Financial Services (BFSI) domain.
- Advanced proficiency in AWS cloud services, specifically AWS Bedrock and serverless architectures.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, including KYC, AML, lending, and risk compliance.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive production-grade AI adoption in regulated environments.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $128,000 – $130,000 per year
