Role Overview: Lit.js Developer

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lit.js Developer to join our dynamic engineering team in Dallas, Texas. As a specialist in modern web components, you will be at the forefront of building fast, lightweight, and highly reusable UI elements that power our next-generation web applications. This role is critical for maintaining a consistent and performant user experience across our diverse digital ecosystem. You will leverage the Lit library (formerly LitElement) to create standards-compliant web components that integrate seamlessly with various frontend frameworks or function as standalone elements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain a robust library of reusable Lit-based web components to ensure UI consistency.
  • Build responsive, accessible, and high-performance UI components that adhere to modern web standards.
  • Implement reactive state management and declarative templates using Lit’s efficient rendering engine.
  • Integrate Lit components into existing enterprise applications built on React, Angular, or vanilla JavaScript.
  • Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into functional code.
  • Work with product managers and backend engineers to define API contracts and data flow requirements.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with a strong emphasis on performance and accessibility (A11y).
  • Participate in rigorous code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure software quality.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in Web Components, Shadow DOM, and the Lit ecosystem.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript (ES6+).
  • Hands-on experience with Lit (LitElement, reactive properties, directives, and lifecycle methods).
  • Deep understanding of Web Components standards, including Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, and HTML Templates.
  • Experience with modern frontend build tools such as Vite, Rollup, or Webpack.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3, including CSS-in-JS and Lit’s scoped styling mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
  • Proven track record of writing unit and integration tests using tools like Jest or Web Test Runner.
  • Proficiency with version control systems, specifically Git.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $130,000 – $175,000 per year (Estimated)
