Opportunity Overview: SAP EPPM Consultant
Square Hiring LLC is seeking a high-caliber SAP EPPM (Enterprise Project and Portfolio Management) Consultant to support large-scale, multi-billion dollar datacenter construction programs. This is a strategic role located in Bellevue, WA, with options for 100% onsite or remote work, provided the consultant can strictly adhere to Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in managing complex CAPEX-driven construction portfolios, focusing on project structuring, cost-budget management, and seamless procurement integration.
Detailed Responsibilities and Scope
- Design and configure complex Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), networks, activities, and milestones tailored for the end-to-end lifecycle of datacenter construction.
- Manage comprehensive project budgets, including forecasting, availability control, actuals tracking, accruals, and settlements.
- Oversee AUC (Asset Under Construction) capitalization processes to ensure financial compliance and accurate reporting.
- Integrate SAP Project Systems (PS) with Materials Management (MM) and Ariba to streamline contracts, Purchase Orders (POs), and service entry sheets.
- Manage subcontractor relationships and change orders within the SAP ecosystem to maintain project velocity.
- Support detailed schedule and resource planning in close alignment with the construction PMO and commissioning teams.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated reporting dashboards covering cost, progress, earned value, and risk metrics using SAP and advanced analytics tools.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Real Estate, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Commissioning departments.
- Drive continuous process improvements and the deployment of standardized templates to automate construction project workflows.

In this role, you will be at the intersection of Information Technology and physical infrastructure development. As datacenters become the backbone of the global digital economy, your expertise in SAP EPPM will ensure that these massive capital investments are managed with precision. You will be responsible for ensuring that every dollar spent is tracked and every milestone achieved is documented. This role requires not just technical configuration skills in SAP, but also a deep understanding of the construction industry’s unique challenges, including EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) cycles and complex financial controls.
Required Skills and Professional Qualifications
- 8 to 12+ years of intensive experience in SAP Project Systems (PS) with a focus on project accounting and investment management.
- Proven track record in large-scale CAPEX infrastructure projects, specifically within datacenters, utilities, or industrial sectors.
- Hands-on proficiency in integrating SAP PS with FICO, MM, and Ariba.
- Exposure to SAP PPM, EPPM, and Oracle Primavera P6 is highly desirable.
- Strong grasp of construction contracts, procurement cycles, and progress measurement methodologies.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement abilities, with the capacity to communicate complex technical and financial data to non-technical audiences.
- SAP PS Certification is strongly preferred.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $215,000 per year (Estimated)
