Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Software Engineer for a high-priority contract role located in Midtown Manhattan. This position is onsite and requires a candidate with a deep understanding of the Google AI stack and modern integration patterns. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining sophisticated AI-driven applications, specifically focusing on real-time voice and audio assistants using the Gemini Live API.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI solutions using Python and the Google Cloud Vertex AI platform.
- Develop interactive integrations within Slack using Block Kit to enhance user engagement and workflow automation.
- Utilize Google Workspace APIs and ADK to build seamless productivity tools.
- Architect and deploy real-time voice/audio assistants leveraging the Gemini Live API.
- Work within and optimize existing codebases, ensuring scalability and performance without requiring full greenfield rebuilds.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical AI specifications.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to drive innovation.
Technical Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on AI and backend systems.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and its associated data science/AI libraries.
- Hands-on experience with Google Vertex AI, Gemini Live API, and Google Workspace APIs.
- Proven ability to build complex UI elements in Slack using Block Kit.
- Strong understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and cloud-native development.
- Experience with real-time audio processing and voice-to-text/text-to-voice technologies is a significant plus.

Compensation & Location
