Position Summary
We are looking for a skilled Java Developer with 6 to 8 years of professional experience to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a fully remote position focusing on the development and maintenance of high-performance applications using Java and Spring Boot. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in core and advanced Java concepts, with a specific interest or experience in Guidewire products within the PolicyCenter (PC) domain. You will work within a modern DevOps environment, utilizing cutting-edge CI/CD tools to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy scalable microservices using Java and the Spring Boot framework.
- Apply deep expertise in core Java and advanced Java concepts to solve complex technical challenges.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and management.
- Implement comprehensive unit and integration tests using mocking frameworks such as Mockito or JMock.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Guidewire products within the PolicyCenter environment.
- Manage and enhance modern CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Harness NextGen.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner to maintain system stability.
Required Technical Skills
- 6-8 years of experience in Java Development.
- Expertise in Spring Framework and Spring Boot modules.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database optimization.
- Experience with Mocking Frameworks (Mockito, JMock).
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tooling, specifically GitHub Actions and Harness.
- Knowledge of Guidewire products (PolicyCenter) is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Digital DevOps practices and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).

Compensation & Location
Salary: $90,000 – $115,000 per year
