Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP ABAP Developer for a long-term onsite engagement in Dallas, Texas. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in SAP development, with a specific focus on S/4HANA environments and modern development paradigms. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving technical excellence within our SAP landscape, focusing on clean core principles and high-performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex ABAP solutions within an S/4HANA environment, ensuring adherence to Clean Core remediation strategies.
- Perform comprehensive ATC (ABAP Test Cockpit) checks and resolve identified issues to maintain code quality and standards.
- Execute performance optimization across various SAP modules to ensure efficient system processing and user experience.
- Utilize advanced ABAP Objects and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts to build scalable and maintainable software components.
- Configure, develop, and troubleshoot IDocs for seamless data exchange between SAP and external systems.
- Develop and publish OData Services and CDS (Core Data Services) views to support modern Fiori applications and integration requirements.
- Create and consume SOAP web services using SOAMANAGER for robust system-to-system communication.
- Configure and troubleshoot SAP Application Interface Framework (AIF) to manage complex interface landscapes.
- Analyze and debug existing programs to identify root causes of issues and implement necessary enhancements or fixes.
- Produce and maintain high-quality Technical Specifications and documentation for all development activities.
- Redesign legacy interfaces to align with modern architectural standards and business requirements.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of SAP ABAP development experience.
- Proven expertise in S/4HANA development and ABAP for Cloud.
- Strong proficiency in CDS Views, OData Services, and the SAP RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).
- Deep understanding of SAP AIF and IDoc processing.
- Expert-level debugging and troubleshooting skills in complex SAP environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an onsite team setting.

Visa constraints: USC or GC only; Onsite requirement in Dallas, TX; Domain: SAP S/4HANA.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year
