Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Gen AI/Agentic AI Developer to join our engineering team in Charlotte, NC. This is a long-term contract position requiring a 5-day onsite presence. As the landscape of Artificial Intelligence shifts from passive Large Language Models (LLMs) to autonomous, goal-oriented agents, we are looking for a developer who can lead the charge in building sophisticated agentic workflows. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing machine learning systems that empower AI agents to perform complex tasks with minimal human intervention. This role is ideal for a technical leader who thrives at the intersection of Python programming, advanced LLM orchestration, and production-grade software deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement end-to-end Generative AI solutions using state-of-the-art frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph.
- Develop autonomous AI agents capable of multi-step reasoning, tool usage, and stateful interaction management.
- Utilize the Google ADK (Agent Development Kit) to build and deploy scalable AI services within the Google Cloud ecosystem.
- Design and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to enhance model accuracy and reduce hallucinations.
- Manage and query high-performance Vector Databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus, or Weaviate) for efficient information retrieval.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into technical AI specifications.
- Stay abreast of the latest research in Agentic AI, including self-correction loops, reflection patterns, and multi-agent orchestration.
- Ensure the robustness and security of AI systems, focusing on prompt engineering and guardrail implementation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers in the AI/ML space.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on Python.
- Proven track record of delivering at least 3-4 end-to-end AI projects into a production environment.
- Deep expertise in LLM integration, including experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini models.
- Hands-on experience with LangGraph for building stateful, multi-actor applications with LLMs.
- Proficiency in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles and the ability to architect scalable data pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
Work Environment and Culture
This position is strictly onsite in Charlotte, North Carolina. We believe that the high-velocity nature of Agentic AI development benefits significantly from face-to-face collaboration and real-time problem-solving. You will work in a dynamic environment where innovation is encouraged, and technical excellence is the standard. Our team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what AI can achieve, moving beyond simple chatbots to truly intelligent, autonomous systems that drive business value.
Special Requirements
